Booking Terms & Conditions
Thank you for booking a holiday at ‘White Horse Farm’.
A deposit of 35% of the rental is payable if the booking is made more than 8 weeks before the start of the rental. Your dates are not reserved and confirmed until the deposit payment has been taken and authorised. The balance of your holiday shall be payable 8 weeks before the commencement of the rental. ‘White Horse Farm’ reserves the right to cancel a holiday where full payment has not been received by the due date having issued a reminder.
If you are forced to cancel your holiday due to unforeseen circumstances, you must inform ‘White Horse Farm’ in writing or by email immediately. In all cancellation situations, deposits are forfeited initially. We will make every endeavour to re-let the property but you will remain liable for full/part payment if we are only able to re-let part of the agreed period. Cancellation 30 days before the booking start date will incur 30% forfeit of total booking price and cancellation within 30 days of the booking start date will incur 100% of the booking price. In the event we are able to re-book part or whole of the period concerned then we will refund in proportion to the amount received to replace the booking. In the event that we have to offer a discount to attract a replacement booking then this will be taken into account in calculating the refund due. We strongly advise that you take out travel and cancellation insurance to cover this eventuality. Insurance cover should cost approximately £10 from any reputable Insurance company or bank.
Smoking is strictly forbbiden in any building or grounds within the barn area.
The maximum number of guests is restricted to numbers stated on the website and agreed with the owners of ‘White Horse Farm’. We reserve the right to refuse admittance or accommodate extra guests without seeking prior consent. The owners reserve the right to enforce extra payment if this condition is not adhered to. In addition, we reserve the right to refuse entry/bookings from guests who may in our opinion be unsuitable for the property concerned.
No liability is accepted for any injury, loss or damage to guests and/or their belongings, damage by or to any third party or for damage to any motor vehicle or its contents.
In the unlikely event a property is not available through circumstances arising out of our control such as a breakdown of domestic appliances, plumbing/wiring problems, exceptional weather conditions, health or accidents, we may be forced to cancel a booking but will ensure that we will do our utmost to find alternative suitable accommodation, which, if not acceptable, all monies will be refunded.
Any damage to the property is the responsibility of the hirer and the cost is payable upon demand – this is at the owners discretion and does not include minor things like broken glasses, although we would appreciate it if you tell us before your departure. If deemed appropriate, we will levy an extra cleaning charge if properties have been left in an unacceptable condition.
The owners of ‘White Horse Farm’ reserve the right to enter the properties at any reasonable time with or without any maintenance staff for the purpose of repairs in the event that they may become necessary although we reserve your right to privacy and will not disturb you unless the situation is absolutely necessary.
Check in time is not before 3pm and check out time is 10am. We request that guests arrive no later than 8pm without previous consent and depart no later than 10.00am unless previously agreed with the owners.
A charge will be made for canine visitors of £10 per dog per night, to be agreed with the owners prior to booking. Please ensure that dogs are never left unattended during your stay and that they are kept off the furniture and beds. They must also be kept on a lead whilst on the grounds of the farm.
We would appreciate it if the properties are left clean and tidy upon departure, including placing all rubbish in the bins provided near to Primrose Barn. Ensure that the properties are not exposed to any fire risk during your stay. Please ensure properties are securely locked and windows closed whilst you are out.
We apologise if this all sounds very formal, but certain legal points have to be covered.
